Review- „The social network“

The movie „The Social Network“was published in2010 inUSAand is directed by David Fincher. The device of the movie is “You can not have 500 millions friends, without having enemies.”, which supports the topic of how Facebook was founded and what were the chances and the risks.

The founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg who is acted by Jesse Eisenberg and the protagonist of the movie did not impact on the movie. The story of Facebook is brought out right, but at some places it deviates from the truth.

The movie starts with how Mark is breaking up with his actual girlfriend in a very rude way. From this point he keeps his “scumbag”-charakter trough the whole move. Mark is presented as a nerd, who has not much succes in the social life. Through breaking up with his girlfriend, he gets his idea for “Facemash”which was the forerunner of Facebook. “The Winklevosses” two succesfull Twins of Harvard are asking Mark to help them with his project, which was creating something like Facebook. The twins suing Mark to stole their Idea, and the film shows backflashes and the past, how all that happened and through what the founder have to go. After meeting the founder of popular “Napster”, Facebook becomes popular all over the world; Zuckerberg earned a lot of money and looses his only friend “Eduardo Severin”, an important protagonist who was played by Andrew Garfield. Also his former best friend is suing him for decepton. Through the whole process Zuckerberg stays very ironic, and gives clever answers whih sometimes are rude and inproper, the reason is that he just does not see his fault.

In my opinion the film shows the story of Facebook in a good and interesting way, there are no long discussions about difficult computer codes, which I expected at first.

The film has a very rare story and it is nice to see how something like this can get out of hand. When you have success, everybody wants a piece of it and i think this is mentioned well.

It is not my favorite movie, but I liked the story and I liked the fact that this was not the typical “tearjerker”-movie.

I would recommend it to people, who are interested in Facebook and its history.

The world biggest social network Facebook – do we know everything about it?

The most people see Facebook as a platform where you can stay easily in contact with friends or people, which are living somewhere else. Of course it is also comfortable for communication and other things. People presenting much information about themselves. Information, which is not intended to become public for the whole world. Now that is our problem. People are posting everything of their life, especially younger people who do not see facebook as a big danger for the data. Through comment or “like” a status the users get attention.Attention that they only receive trough facebook. The offer is tempting, because you do not have to pay for using facebook.

So now the negative aspects about this popular social network:

“Once it’s there, it’s there forever.” That is the trouble which users have to deal with. Facebook saves your data forever, which means that all you publish on facebook, it stays forever there. For exemple when you are for four years on facebook, people can access your posts after a long time.

Facebok can sell your data to other concerns, if they offer enough money. But what is about our privacy and our dignity? Even your online bahvior is known by facebook while using our data.

In my opinion Facebook is a useful network to stay in contact with other people but you should be very careful with things you put online and pay attention that you just post things which you do not regret in some time.

SF GATE ARTICLE SUMMARY

The newspaper article “Stinson Beach property is nature lover’s paradise“, from the newspaper “SF Gate” deals with luxury estates in Marine County, a town 20 miles north of San Francisco. The $6.87 million House is located at 276 Seadrift Road in Stinson Beach, a fanatstic beach 3.5 miles long with lifeguards on duty. Besides the beautiful beach Marine County offers other free-time activities such as miles of hiking trails, abundant birding opportunities and picnic spots. Mount Tamalpais State Park, next to Stinson Beach, impresses with stunning wildfire, ridge views, majestic redwoods, shady groves, campsites and Point Reyes, a huge lighthouse situated high on a cliff. The quiet Red Rock Beach, friendliest nude beach on the north coast, is just a 15-minute hike away. The whole countryside was born out of an earthquake in 1906, so refugees started to use the beautiful landscape to build hotels and stuff. Actually at 276 Seadrift there is nothing that seems not like fun excluding the price.
